In februari 2012 Frans Beelen worked as artist in residence in the guest studio of
museum The Van Goghhuis in Zundert. There she completed a series of 24 ornaments, inspired by the works of Vincent van Gogh, a project she started in 2009.

The total collection comprises sixteen necklaces, three brooches and five rings.
A highlight is the necklace 'For the mother of Van Gogh', in possession of the Van Goghhuis in Zundert.

In February 2013 these ornaments were shown in Galerie Zône (Leiden) and from 30 March
to 1 October 2013 in the Vincentre, the Van Gogh Centre in Nuenen, the village where in 1885 Vincent van Gogh painted 'The Potato Eaters'.

In 2013 Bostor Publicaties published "Frans Beelen visits van Gogh", in which all the ornaments are shown together with the sources of inspiration: paintings and texts of Van Gogh (language: Dutch).
